Budgety is a tool for keeping track of money you tell it about. It is not a bank, not a financial adviser, and not a backup service. Reading this page takes a few minutes and explains where our responsibility ends and yours begins.
1. Agreement
By downloading or using Budgety ("the app"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the app.
2. What Budgety does
Budgety lets you record account balances, debts and savings goals by hand, and shows you the totals and progress that follow from what you entered. It performs arithmetic on figures you supply. It does not connect to any bank, verify anything you type, or access real financial accounts.
3. Not financial advice
Budgety is for personal organisation only. Nothing in the app — including net worth figures, progress indicators, projections, streaks or badges — is financial, investment, tax or legal advice, and none of it is a recommendation to take any particular action with your money.
Before making a financial decision, speak to a qualified professional who knows your circumstances. Decisions you make while using Budgety are yours alone.
4. Your information is your responsibility
Everything Budgety shows you is calculated from figures you typed in. We cannot check whether those figures are correct, current or complete. If you enter a wrong number, the totals will be wrong too. Keeping your entries accurate and up to date is up to you.
5. Data storage and loss
Budgety stores your information only on your device. There is no cloud backup and no copy held by us. That means:
- Deleting the app deletes your data permanently.
- Losing, resetting or replacing your device may mean losing your data.
- Using "Erase all data" cannot be undone.
- We cannot restore anything for you, because we never had it.
If your records matter to you, keep your own note of the important figures somewhere else.
6. Licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Budgety on devices you own, for your own use. You may not copy, resell, rent, reverse-engineer or redistribute the app, or attempt to extract its source code, except where the law expressly permits it.
7. Acceptable use
Please do not use Budgety for anything unlawful, and do not attempt to interfere with the app, break its protections, or use it in a way that harms other people.
8. Availability and changes
We may update, change or discontinue Budgety, or any of its features, at any time. New versions may add, alter or remove functionality. We are not obliged to keep any particular feature available. Budgety Pro, described in section 9, is an optional paid subscription; the app works without it.
9. Budgety Pro subscription
Budgety Pro is an optional auto-renewing subscription, offered monthly or yearly, that adds the features listed on the Pro screen in the app. The price, the length of each period and any free trial are shown on that screen before you buy, in your App Store currency.
- Payment. Apple charges your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase — or, if you start a free trial, when the trial ends. We never see your payment details.
- Renewal. The subscription renews automatically for the same period and price unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Your Apple ID is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends.
- Free trial. When a free trial is offered, it is available once per Apple ID. If you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends, you are not charged.
- Managing and cancelling. You can turn off automatic renewal, change plan or cancel in your Apple ID's subscription settings at any time. Cancelling stops the next renewal; Pro stays on until the end of the period you have paid for. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- Refunds. Purchases are made through Apple, so refunds are handled by Apple under its own policies, at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue them ourselves.
- Price changes. If the price of your subscription changes, Apple tells you beforehand, as App Store rules require.
- Restoring. On a new or reset iPhone signed in with the same Apple ID, "Restore purchases" on the Pro screen turns Pro back on.
Checking a subscription needs an internet connection now and then. When there is none, the app uses the last status it received. How subscription information is handled is described in our Privacy Policy.
10. No warranty
Budgety is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that its calculations will suit your particular situation.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost data, lost profits or financial losses, arising out of your use of Budgety. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for Budgety, including any Budgety Pro subscription, in the twelve months before the claim.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
12. Apple
Apple is not a party to these terms and has no responsibility for Budgety. Apple has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for the app. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple may refund the purchase price; beyond that, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the app. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
13. Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms as the app develops. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. Continuing to use Budgety after a revision means you accept the updated terms.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. This does not remove any protection you have under the mandatory consumer law of the country you live in.
